About Whats Up Tucson
Whats Up Tucson (@whatsuptucson), the most followed Tucson news and information source on Twitter (also available on Facebook and Instagram), is owned and produced by broadcast and social media veteran Ken Carr. To read more about Ken, click here.
When @whatsuptucson originally launched, it featured mostly community events and has grown over the years to include a variety of locally focused news and information related content. Traffic issues, speed traps, fires, floods, power outages, missing people, school lock downs, weather related content, local event information, lost and found animals, yard sales, people selling event tickets, local businesses and non-profits seeking a wider audience, even the occasional person desperate for a date. If it's happening right now in the Tucson community, it’s on @whatsuptucson.
After ten years of non-stop tweeting, thousands of hours of work, and building a significant following, Whats Up Tucson has evolved into the most followed Tucson news source on Twitter (and has been since 2014). Thank you for the support. I appreciate you. — Ken Carr
